Originally from Michigan, Cristen moved to Colorado at 12 years old and loves the blue skies, the open spaces and the lack of humidity. She has managed collegiate and club cycling teams and loves to ride her cruiser around town. When not outdoors or in her community garden, she works as a National Account Rep at a food distributor.
Nick Creadon, Director
Senior Engineer, Anadarko Petroleum
Nick is proud to be from Colorado and to still call it home! He loves challenging himself in many parts of life, from climbing mountains to leading a team through a project at work. He fully supports the work of Trips for Kids Denver Metro!
Grant Goerzen, Director
Manager, KPMG, LLP
When Grant was six years old he learned to ride a bike by trampling through his uncle’s flower garden. Since then, Grant’s biking highlights have included riding on his university club team and with his co-workers at the accounting firm KPMG, LLP. Riding bikes has allowed Grant to share meaningful experiences with friends, challenge himself, and explore the outdoors – all things he wants others to enjoy as well.

Sarah Klein, Board Chair
National Senior Manager, Corporate Relations, National MS Society
Sarah is a long-time cycling enthusiast and has lived cycling both personally and professionally for years. She loves everything it represents- an active lifestyle, physical and emotional health and fitness, respect for the environment, and a slower, more intentional pace of life – along with the potential to make the world a better place in pretty much every way imaginable. She’s great at making connections and loves bringing individuals and organizations together for mutual benefit. She also really likes pink and has a dog named “Lucky”.
Avi Loewenstein, Secretary
Attorney, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP
Avi grew up in Boulder, Colorado and after six years in the Midwest, had to return to the mountains and sun in Colorado. He is a passionate cyclist, on the road, on the trails and on his commuter bike around Denver. He is a corporate transactional attorney with Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, and is committed to giving the opportunity to explore our wonderful state to all residents, regardless of background or income.
Chris Munro Director
General Manager, Qloom Sports, Inc
Chris was drawn to Colorado in 1993 and has been fortunate to spend many years riding and racing both road and mountain bikes across the country. He was also able to transition the passion for riding into a career spending 14 years at the iconic apparel brand Pearl Izumi and now leads a start up mountain bike apparel brand, Qloom Sports. The first ride with Andrew and TFK in 2006 has always been an inspiration and the desire to share the vision and experience of TFK remains. Chris also loves spending time outside with his family and embracing the Colorado lifestyle.
Gabe Ofiesh, Director
Born and raised in Virginia, Gabe fell in love with bikes leading cross-country trips for Bike & Build. He recently moved back to Colorado from New York in pursuit of the sunshine and mountains that he had been missing since going to college in Boulder. When he’s not on the road producing events like the USA Pro Challenge and the New York City Marathon, he’s usually wandering around town on a somewhat rusty redline 29er (bike).
Damon Semmens, Director
Founder and Owner, Semmens Law, P.C.
Mr. Semmens is the founder of his own legal practice. Outside the office he is an avid runner, cyclist and skier. As a board member of Trips for Kids, Mr. Semmens seeks to share his love of the outdoors and promote the organization’s emphasis on healthy lifestyles.
Steph Smith, Director
Stephanie grew up moving constantly whether in gymnastics or running around on the family farm in New York. Nowadays, she has melded her energy and passion for the outdoors into a career in the ski industry and a continual quest to spend as much time outside enjoying everything that Colorado has to offer. In between exploring new mountains on her skis, she can be found in the Front Range pounding the pavement marathon training or enjoying the abundant singletrack on her mountain bike or her own two feet. Stephanie also enjoys cooking to fuel for her activities, traveling, good beer, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
