Volunteer Opportunities
Trips For Kids Denver/Boulder®, true to it’s roots as an all-volunteer organization, relies on volunteers to deliver fun, high-impact cycling based programs. There are many ways to volunteer your time and energy. Please join us! Chances are you'll find it very rewarding!
Opportunities to be involved in Trips for Kids Denver/Boulder include; ride volunteers, bike club volunteers, shop volunteers or donate your professional services. See below for a detailed description of each volunteer opportunity. Chances are there is a niche for you!
Ride Volunteers
Share your love and passion for cycling and the outdoors with children aged 10 and up, who would otherwise not have the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of Colorado from the seat of a bike. Volunteers provide assistance with equipment and riding skills and give words of encouragement along the way to our group of novice mountain bikers. Most trips begin mid-morning at a Front Range trailhead near Morrison, Evergreen, or Boulder and conclude mid-afternoon after a fun, challenging ride in the beautiful outdoors of Colorado. Rides occur March through November on weekdays and Saturdays.
To join the fun as a ride volunteer:
- Complete the ride volunteer application on-line or print, complete and mail this form: Volunteer Application 09.pdf
- Check our list of upcoming rides and choose a ride that works with your schedule
- Contact Andy Brannon by phone (303-919-4259) or at abrannon@tripsforkidsdenver.org with the ride dates you would like to volunteer

TFKD/B “Bike Club” Program
Do you have a solid understanding of bicycle maintenance or just an interest in learning how your bike works? We need volunteers to lend a hand with our after-school “Bike Club” bike maintenance sessions. Master mechanics are welcome to join the program as guest instructors and novice mechanics are welcome to join in too, learning useful skills beside the young club members. TFKD/B Bikes Clubs are in session at partner sites September through April.
