Meet the TFKDM/LBR* Staff

*Trips for Kids Denver Metro/Lucky Bikes Recyclery – a great cause deserves a long name!

We’re always looking for committed individuals who embrace our mission and are willing to share their time, talent and energy to our organization.

Wendy K Stewart Executive Director

Wendy joined Trips for Kids Denver Metro as executive director in early 2015 and with the help of the board and staff has been instrumental in helping to double annual income, increase both the width and depth of youth ridership, enhance donor loyalty and corporate support, and establish operational and board stability.

When Wendy is not leading the Trips for Kids organization she enjoys international travel and hosting WorldDenver fellows in her home with her husband, Tim and three boys, Trey, Dustin, and Caulin.

Sam Dale Shop Operations

Sam joined Trips for Kids Denver Metro in the Summer of 2018, and after coming on as a shop mechanic, quickly excelled to shop manager in training because of his bike engineering skills and desire to work with youth. When Sam is not orchestrating the shop dynamics you’ll find him playing with his Jazz Quintet in Denver’s jazz scene.

Ellie Carley Program Operations

Before joining Trips for Kids Denver Metro Ellie was a Senior Support Analyst for the IHS Maritime and Trade Company Denver office. After college at Ft. Lewis, she spent some time helping the Museum of Contemporary Arts with their membership program and has an interest in serving Denver nonprofits. Ellie is a current youth swim coach and has a passion for youth based nonprofits.

Seasonal Staff

9-12 seasonal staff is needed each year to pull off our multi-level youth outdoor focused programming. The pictures below show youth and staff enjoying the outdoors.
