Meet the TFKDM/LBR* Staff

*Trips for Kids Denver Metro/Lucky Bikes Re-Cyclery – a great cause deserves a long name!

Jon Pasquini

Jon Pasquini Executive Director

Mr. Pasquini is Trips for Kids Denver Metro’s Executive Director, joining the team in March 2019. He is responsible for the successful leadership and management of our organization in alignment with the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors. He brings to the organization fifteen years of experience in youth education and more than ten years of experience in marketing and branding. He was also Executive Director the Broomfield Soccer Club, a nonprofit organization for which he created the short- and long-term strategic plan, acted as sole marketing agent and fundraiser, and built the annual budget. Jon’s skills and experience are complemented by his commitment to motivating youth to reach their full potential through outdoor education.

Wendy K Stewart Development Consultant

Ms. Stewart joined Trips for Kids Denver Metro as Executive Director in April 2015. She has remained on the TFKDM team to support the organization’s transition to Mr. Pasquini’s leadership. She is also responsible for donor relations and fundraising strategy. Prior to joining TFKDM, Wendy held a leadership position at Denver B-Cycle and was instrumental in developing the newly expanded under-served outreach program at Denver B-cycle to educate new riders on using bikes to safely access downtown Denver. Wendy has over 20 years in nonprofit leadership positions involving management, marketing, event planning, fundraising, sponsorship, and administration.

Ellie Carley Program Manager

Ms. Carley oversees the day-to-day management of The Ride, Learn to Earn a Bike (LtE) and Youth@Work programs. She supervises the Program Assistant and all ride leaders. Ellie serves as our liaison with our Ride partner agencies and is responsible for program administration, education, logistics, safety and risk management for all of our programs. Ellie has been a TFKDM staff member since 2018.

Sam Dale General Shop Manager, Lucky Bikes Re-Cyclery

Mr. Dale is responsible for time and quality standards for retail sales, repairs and bike production; and the measurement of retail sales, repairs and production performance. He also assists with supervising and training youth in our Youth-at-Work program. Sam is BRAC/ROL Wheels’ race mechanic, as well as the team captain/director of a cyclo-cross team. He has been with TFKDM since Lucky Bikes Re-Cyclery since 2018.

Richard Tischler Shop Assistant, Lucky Bikes Re-Cyclery

Mr. Tischler is LBR’s former shop manager and assists Sam with retail sales, repairs and bike production; and the measurement of retail sales, repairs and production performance. He also assists with supervising and training youth in our Youth-at-Work program. When he is not working at Lucky Bikes Re-cyclery he is working as a stay-at-home Dad raising their 1-year old, Magnus. He has been with TFKDM since Lucky Bikes Re-Cyclery since 2016.
Theresa Giarratano

Theresa Giarratano Event Planner

Mrs. Giarratano is thrilled to be working as the 2019 event planner for the annual Lucky Bikes Friendraiser and TFKDM Lucky to Ride! Soiree. She joined the TFKDM team in 2017 as a volunteer on the events committee, and was one of the event coordinators for the 2018 TFKDM Lucky to Ride! Soiree. When she is not working at TFKDM, she is busy enjoying the Colorado outdoors with her husband and three sons.
Katherine Kosta

Kathy Kosta Office/Volunteer/Digital Marketing Manager

Ms. Kosta joined TFKDM in May 2018 during the web site relaunch. Her duties include assisting the Executive Director, overseeing office administration, coordinating our volunteers and providing the Program Manager with assistance and support. She has been a frequent customer and volunteer since 2018 helping sit on the events committee. Her background includes more than 15 years of business management and more than 5 years in a nonprofit setting, with focus on bookkeeping, marketing and business assistance.

Devon Reynolds Development Assistant

Ms. Reynolds is responsible for managing grants, stewarding and strengthening TFKDM’s relationships with the individuals, corporations, and foundations that provide financial support for TFKDM’s programs and operations, along with cultivating new relationships. With a bachelor’s degree and background in development, Devon uses her 5 years nonprofit experience to assist with curriculum development, evaluation of programs and incorporating a Positive Youth Development approach in all programming.

Shelby Clymer CFO (Contractor)

Ms. Clymer assists executive director, finance committee, and staff with all aspects of financial oversight. Shelby has over 10 years of diverse accounting experience with a focus on nonprofits. She has earned certifications in both QuickBooks Pro and the American Payroll Association. She has been with TFKDM since April 2018.

Seasonal Staff

9-12 seasonal staffers are needed each year to pull off our multi-level youth outdoor focused programming. Youth and staff (below) are shown enjoying the outdoors.
