Cowan comes from the Safe Routes to School National Partnership with over 15 years experience in the nonprofit sector and just under a decade spent working for bicycle advocacy and education organizations.
“We are very excited about Dave’s experience in bicycle advocacy, outreach and education and believe his diverse skillset and dynamic personality will be a great addition to TFK.” said TFK founder and board director, Andrew Goodwillie.
Cowan will work to support existing staff, market TFK’s programs, and to ensure the future financial success of the organization.
“I believe that regardless of age, race or socioeconomics, everyone deserves the opportunity to ride a bicycle – the experience is transformative” said Cowan. “TFK’s programs (the Ride Program, Earn-A-Bike Program and Lucky Bike Recyclery) all work to ensure that more people are provided that opportunity. I’m thrilled to lead TFK in the future success of such amazing programs.”
Cowan will begin work on April 7th.
